Description
Carl is a small, shallow lake in the
North Brule drainage, 23¼ miles southeast of Gunflint Trail's End
and 64¾ miles ENE of Ely, one of many long and narrow lakes, with
a distinct east/west orientation, which mark this eastern end of the BWCA.
Only ¾ mile long it is but an eighth mile wide. The lake covers 59
acres to a maximum depth of only 22' and most of the lake is less than 10'
deep. Campsites

Carl has a limited offering of game fish,
supporting populations of Northern Pike (Esox
lucius) and Yellow Perch (Perca
flavescens).
